Karim Ghaly

Construction and Engineering
Karim has experience of acting in his own right and as a junior in a range of construction disputes including: defective design and workmanship claims, claims for loss & expense and professional negligence claims against architects and engineers. He has substantial oral advocacy experience, including the cross-examination of expert witnesses.

In addition to TCC work, Karim has a busy international arbitration practice.

Karim has considerable experience of construction adjudication (both as a representative and an adjudicator). He is on the TECBAR Panel of  Adjudicators.

Commercial
Karim has advised and appeared in a range of commercial matters including disputes arising out of contracts of insurance, sale of goods agreements, consumer credit agreements, bills of exchange and agency agreements.

Costs
Karim has advised and represented both Claimants and Defendants in a range of costs matters including cases concerning the enforceability of CFAs/CCFAs and the recoverability of success fees and insurance premiums.
